Scandale - Lingerie & Swimwear
How do we rethink the heritage of a beloved French lingerie brand for today? Scandale, an iconic French lingerie brand from the 1920’s was revived by with the aim to offer an elegant, modern collection of shapewear for women. We developed the entire brand positioning and image for Scandale, drawing upon their rich visual heritage and honored the brand's distinguishing visual cues while giving it a contemporary twist and personality.
After its launch, we remained brand guardian providing art direction, guidelines and management for our creative partners that collaborated to execute all of the consumer touchpoints for the brand, such as packaging systems, in-store promotional items and for the trade, fair booths, catalogues and press events. We evolved with the brand, developing strategy and naming for collection extensions into swimwear and a higher-price point offering.
The universe we developed for Scandale drew the attention of Halle Berry, who admired Scandale's distinctly feminine imagery and communications. Sensing the potential for future product development she decided to partner with Scandale in 2015. We worked to build the strategy and set the tone for this new partnership and how to articulate the relationship between the brand and Halle Berry.
